TRINITY STONES: There Are No Coincidences, Only Destinies to Be Fulfilled ~L.G. O’Connor
“Dear One, life is rarely as obvious or convenient as it is portrayed in books and movies. Real life is messy, Cara. Nothing comes wrapped with a neat bow. The thing you need to understand is that wrapped within your humanity is a spark of the divine. It’s that spark that will lead you into battle.”
TRINITY STONES is a very good read and I enjoyed the fresh perspectives on being in investment banking and how a woman’s life changes as she approaches her thirties. Cara is just such a person, who dedicated her dating energies to her student day’s partner – Dr. Kai Solomon who married someone else and moved to San Francisco 6 years ago; she put all her energies into work. They speak on the phone each Wednesday and remain friends. Dr. Solomon shares life with a 5 year old daughter and his wife and is a researcher. Cara has a good job and a great friend, but no one new has entered her dating scene.
Cara is celebrating her 27th birthday and Kai forgets to call, the heel of her designer shoe breaks off and several strange, awful people approach her on the subway and in the street. Actually, her day is full of extremely unusual and weird events. Abnormal events. Her best friend does come through and her Grandmother Hannah sends her an amazing inheritance. This will lead her to a new home, to some great mentoring, a new man in her life – Simon Young, a guardian Angel, and a Messenger – Michael, who is a Martial Arts instructor. A delightful dog, Chloe an important protector which shares the adventures that are headed her direction.
There is quite a bit of information about Anxiety Disorders and Cara and her best friend Sienna both share in this malady. Panic Attacks are experienced a number of times in the story which is about the contemporary War beginning between GOOD and EVIL. TRINITY STONES is the first book in a series about this war and many of the names and characters are introduced for the ongoing series, along with devises, philosophy, and adaptations. Cara will need both Dr. Kai Solomon and Simon Young to win the first round with the Devil and his consort.
The sex was full of tension for a 100 year celibate Angel, and that would try anyone’s soul, but I have to admit for me, it got a little boring and I found myself speed reading several “all sex” chapters, and yet I know most readers will love this part the best! I would not want my Middle School child to read this one – definitely adult fiction. I was a tad bit disappointed in the philosophy behind the Good and Evil debate, it was not as deep or creative as I would have liked and I am a bit tired of Catholic Doctrine and traditional concepts. I do not think that this will hinder most folks from enjoying the read. Cara is not a wimp female; she does her part well, except in those pesky Panic Attack moments.
There is an element of play in TRINITY STONES and once again stilettos need to be shed for more practical warrior shoes, still with great design. The writing is good and this story could be complete within itself. All the characters are beautiful and some beefy for this dreamy fantasy. I’m just saying that being flown in an Angel’s hug to my destiny, might be just the thing for the perfect adventure experience.
I received a copy of this book from TLC Online Book Tours and the L.G. O’Connor for review. TRINITY STONES was a very good read.

“Anxiety Disorders also affect one in eight children, and the average age of onset is eleven years old. Anxiety Disorders are highly treatable, yet only about one-third of those suffering receive treatment.”
