Ladybug Recreation or Re-Creation

Ladybug Purse

Just at that moment, when I thought I could not fix one more meal for company and my kiddos, just at that moment, when I was waiting to see if my puppy would get the bone shard out of his esophagus and the surgery would be successful,  just at that moment, when I did not think I could find another penny to pay the bill, just at that moment when my plantar fasciitis rolled out the pain, and just at that moment when I thought I had made my  SELF  disappear a packet came to my mailbox.

It was a leather ladybug coin purse from Davina Haisell of Shades of Crimson.

It renewed my spirit of hope, just as the ladybug is the symbol of woman recreating herself – it brought me back to my sense of self and joy in the midst of busyness and stress.

There is nothing better in the world than to have someone let you know they are thinking of you.

Thank You Davina!

Can you think of a thoughtful surprise that has come your way just at the moment of greatest need?  What are you thankful for in times of high stress, confusion, or busyness?

Let’s talk about gratitude and hope in the comments section; looking forward to what you share.

    Hi Hilary,
It was such a thoughtful gesture and it meant a great deal to me – just as good as a book suggestion to add to my reading list!

    Surprises are the best!

I am still a bit behind with getting husband out the door for his ride and doing the yard work all by myself, be patient I will get over to read your good words soon.

The ladybug purse is so adorable! And so thoughtful! I hope that Zip is okay – that sounds very scary! And I hope your foot is easing up on the pain levels for you, Patricia.

It’s the little surprises in a day that make it wonderful, isn’t it? Maybe the sun breaking through clouds after a dull day or seeing a particular flower burst into bloom or running into a friend at a time when you can both stop and have a quick coffee and catch-up…

    Kim,
Zip is very frisky these last couple of days – and now needs to go to the groomers as his hair is growing back so sweetly weird – it was an incredible scary experience and expensive experience and I had to set a price limit where we would just put him “down” because we could not pay any more. He will be 11 months this week.

It was a wonderful surprise. I was hoping to travel north and connect with Davina this summer, but it does not look possible right now. I did send her a thank you note via the postal services this morning – probably take a month to get to her!
It is such a cute purse

  3. Davina Haisell Says:

This makes me smile, Patricia. Thank you for sharing, and for the mention.

That purse is so cute, it’s nice see it again :) I’m tickled pink that this purse brought you back to your “sense of self and joy in the midst of busyness and stress.” It is easy to become caught up in all that when our hearts are open and we are so focused on what is going on around us. We forget about ourselves!

I love surprises too. The smallest gesture can mean so much. Even something as simple as a friend stopping by for a visit, and handing you your favourite chocolate bar! Yum. It’s nice to know when someone has been thinking of you.

I hope you have a fantastic week. Hugs :)

It was such a nice surprise and such perfect timing.
With my husband gone and the kids out on their own sometimes it feels just like ZIP and I are alone here in our little world!

I bet you are feeling grand with your kiddos back home and getting ready for school?

Hi Patricia! How divine of Davina! It’s those precious random of acts of kindness, surprises out of the blue – doesn’t have to be a big deal thing, just thoughtfulness. Indeed a treasure!

    suzen,
Davina has a wonderful sense of timing and I love little random acts that just speak so eloquently to the heart of the being.

Your post today is really a great review of Dr. Amen’s work and matched up to your work…Thank you

  6. Laurie Buchanan Says:

What a lovely surprise you received!

About a year ago I received an envelope in the mail that contained a handful itty-bitty rainbow colored metallic star and moon shaped “confetti.”. There was no note, and no return address address. I didn’t recognize the handwriting on the envelope, and the cancelled stamp indicated that the envelope had originated in Idaho — I don’t know anyone there. It remains a very pleasant mystery…

    patricia Reply:

    Laurie,
How fun to receive just a gift anonymously…you have a secret pal maybe in Idaho or on vacation in Idaho or had someone send it from Idaho

How fun! Thank you for sharing your random surprise story…

  7. Melody | Deliberate Receiving Says:

This is wonderful Patricia. I love it when things line up like that – what we need most comes into our experience at just the right time.

I’ve been having a lot of synchronicities lately. Old friends coming back into my life all at once, new friends finding me… It’s like my world is filling up with love. OMG, I love this work! :)

    Huge hugs to you,

  9. Deborah Says:

A simple ‘thank you’ card from a friend and neighbour made my day this morning – referencing our weekend party of course. As for times of stress – a warm bath is my antidote to that feeling of panic. I have always likened it to a warm hug. (Those can help too!) :-)

Your party sounded wonderful and a hot bath YES!….all good things and how great to be the first thank you for a great time…

    Dearest Patricia,

The breeze was whispering your lovely name here from Texas, as it often does.

    I am thinking of you.

Sorry to hear little poochie had some tense moments.

    Davina is an angel.

    As are you.

Oh yes, I had champagne delivered to me before a Big Event by someone I had never met, in fact I wondered for a minute if this person’s intentions could be nefarious because I barely knew her. Silly me.

    You are an Awesome Individual.

  11. Rachel Lavern Says:

Wow. Just today I read about an “Appreciation Rampage” (this is a cut-and-paste since I just read it):

“It might take some diligence at first. I might say, “That doesn’t make me feel good, and that doesn’t make me feel good,” but if I want to feel good, then I will stay on my search. And if I keep saying to the Manager, or to the Universe, “I want to find something that makes me feel good; I want to find something that makes me feel good.” If I’m holding that intent, and I really, really mean it, the Universe will yield to me, sooner than later, something that makes me feel good-and I will feel the relief and the release of feeling better. And then I will say, “Ah, that makes me feel good.” And as I focus upon that for as little as 17 seconds, now I’m off and running. Suddenly, the things that were in my vicinity that were not making me feel good, I do not have vibrational access to any more. Now, I’m on a rampage of things feeling good.” – Abraham (www.Abraham-Hicks.com)

I am new to your blog and am enjoying your tidbits of wisdom.

So glad your pup is okay.

Isn’t it “funny” how when we trust the process in this thing called life and go with the proverbial flow, the Universe sends us exactly what we need at precisely the right moment, be it a ladybug purse or a hug or a call or….

    patricia Reply:

Welcome Jo and thank you for your nice comment

Yes it is quite wise of the universe to bring us surprises and delights…and puppy is doing quite well thank you – tomorrow having his first haircut post emergency surgery and very full of the bark!
