Energizing the Changes – No Stop Action HERE

As many of my readers know, in the month of June 2010 I officially put myself #1 on my TO DO list.  Day in and day out – #1.

After making that resolution, I made a number of changes from changing my Naturopathic Physician to never letting something distract me from my exercise routine.

In September, a number of things I was doing for myself stopped working.   I was singing with my CD player everyday and it stopped functioning as did my radio.  Our health insurance stopped working and the premiums skyrocketed, and I started gaining weight back at an alarming rate.

If one keeps doing the same thing one keeps getting the same results.

I started changing up what I was doing beginning with signing on to 3 on-line courses that were being offered for free. Think new thoughts; try on new concepts.

I found new catastrophic health insurance.

Although the Detox medication from the new Dr.  helped the first week I took it, by the third week it was not doing anything except causing  itches all over my body – like hundreds of mosquito bites everywhere.  I decided to stop taking it.

I could not afford to visit the Doctor and along came Simon Hay’s 100 Healings in 10 days and a offer from Fiona at UVBLUEHEALTH to have a treatment in her new office – in my town!   I did both and was able to maintain blood sugar levels  and blood pressure at norm for all 10 days, and my body now knows how it feels to be in those states of wellness.  Fiona relieved the headache and the returning knee pain and turned up the metabolism energy to warm.

Through donations to my blog I was able to continue for 6 more sessions of Yin-Yoga, which was really helpful and get 4 more people to sign up for the class so the certified instructor could pay for the space.  This is a practice that is working very well for me — THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE CONTRIBUTIONS

But the most fun change of all, WELL, that was when my husband bartered some work for tickets to Natalie MacMaster’s  concert at our local performing arts center.   WOW!  The music was great energy and lifted my soul right to the sky.    It was such an amazing change of pace and up lifting music, I wanted to share it with you…

Her music can be purchased through Amazon.com

Or you can ENJOY! a few minutes via YouTube

What do you do when things are just not working?  How do you change the pace?   Or the Energy?
Does it change what is happening in your life and make a positive difference?

The HARVEST POTLUCK ecookbook is still free and remains a great spot for making donations to UNICEF and the mother, infant and child programs being offered.

I am still looking for some more comments on THE GIFTS OF IMPERFECTION book review, even just come by and say “BOO”  as the drawing for this book is on October 30th – all one needs to do is make a comment and live in the USA or Canada.

It’s so good to hear that the changes you’ve made are helpng you, and that you’ve been able to accept help from friends. Myself, I’m always changing my treatment plan according to what’s going on at the moment, usually in consultation with doctors, but I tend to lead. As for help from friends, I have very few friends left who aren’t electronic friends only.

    Dot,
About 90% of my friends are on line…and several of my local friends travel so much they are becoming on line friends…I am happy for all the ways to connect – when I was home with children it was so isolating – do not want that again

I find that I am on about a 3 month cycle and then I have to make another change or two. I am hoping when I finish this month long job, I will be able to afford another connection with the Dr. and I like this new one because she is such a good listener and we really do work as a team…has made a big difference to me…

This week is my last CSA box, so I am thinking through how to make changes about getting fresh food that will help me get through the winter and dark with success

Change Artist in Action as JD says! I am finding flexibility and good thinking tools to be some of my greatest assets…Also being able to talk – out loud to someone and brainstorm ideas has been a tremendous boon also.

Natalie MacMaster’s music is so beautiful. I have a couple of her CD’s. She’s so talented. How lucky you are to have seen her in person! That must have been magical. And just listening to music is a great way to elevate a mood, isn’t it?

I’m sorry you had to have that nasty side effect of the medication, but I’m so glad you continue to make the best decisions you can for you. And the help of friends? That’s truly priceless.

I am hoping for permanent relief soon myself….MacMaster’s is an amazing artist and the evening just provided lots of energy to me. I had had a energy treatment in the afternoon – it was quite a day.

Hi Patricia! There is nothing like change or tweaking things up a bit when what we are doing “isn’t working”. The spirit you have to keep on keeping on is a blessing! Good for you to explore possibilities and not just fold up. It’s a precious quality!

    Suzen,
Yes, I think I just need to keep embracing change as a gift and then I keep improving. I do wish it was a bit faster! But all in it’s perfect timing…

Your post about the soda tax is very interesting too…

    Antonia,
Welcome and thank you for dropping by this space and your kind words.

I so enjoyed checking out your post and was so happy to have the referral from Terrill – your pictures and words truly did feel like a homecoming.

The concert was great and I am still tapping my toes!

Change is a scary thing, but can also be a good thing. This is what I have to keep reminding myself of any time I don’t want to make change and should. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn’t! 😛

Glad you’re making appropriate choices to deal with your medical issues, Patricia. It has to be a difficult thing to do when finances dictate just how much you can access the health system.

    Patricia Reply:

    Tony,
thank you for your comment and for dropping by It is appreciated.
My whole being needs change and lots of it….I get very melancholy if I am not at the very least exploring and updating my mind track.

At this point in my life health and money seem to be intertwined and I must rely on my self and my own knowledge to heal….it is just more overt than every before….I think I have always been on this path…I wish I did not have to push the river so much – flow would be much better…

Hope you are well and Cassie….Is Spring beautiful? After so much wind and rain today is sunny and the world feels alive and well. 😉

  9. Jannie Funster Says:

    I LOVE these questions…

What do you do when things are just not working? How do you change the pace? Or the Energy?

When things are just not working I let them go. I realize some things I may have invested a lot in, just have to move out of the way for what’s next.

How I change the pace is slowing down to hear nature’s call. Change the energy by deciding what matters, and what does not.

    xoxo

You’re a mover and a shaker, Patricia. I love how you keep attracting these opportunities and support. It’s nice to see results of your efforts on all levels.

Thanks for sharing the link to Natalie MacMaster’s music. I’m listening to it as I type this. LOVE fiddle music — it is, as you say, uplifting in a quiet way. A night out is always refreshing and something like this can move you into “the zone”.

    Patricia Reply:

We bought a CD of MacMaster’s and listened on our travels the past two weekends…getting out and listening to high energy music just makes the world a much better place indeed.

Thanks for dropping by, you must have gotten your project completed! Yes! those are good things
