I am giving things away as a way I go…
I am off on my adventure of walking Scotland and seeing the sites to celebrate my birthday.
I do not wish for you to miss out on any of the party fun so I have decided to offer two big GIVE AWAYS for the best comments on this post and on the August 5, 2009 post.
THE FREE PARTY FAVORS ARE: (drum roll please)
#1 Border Songs the just published book by Jim Lynch about the border between Canada and the USA near Blaine, Washington and Abbotsford, British Columbia.
I heard the author speak about this book and heard about 350 people, mostly authors, laugh out loud during the story excerpts being read.
Jim Lynch’s first book, The Highest Tide was a very funny book – the link goes to my review. This book was also chosen by 18 cities for their community summer reading programs.
And
#2 I Need A MAN a CD of original songs by the blogging world’s own Jannie Funster, which is keeping me laughing out loud as I prepare this post!
Now what do you need to do to receive one or both of these fabulous FREEBIES?
You need to write the best or funniest comment you can about why you should receive one or both of these party favors from my Birthday Tour?
That’s it – that is all you must do… I will award one or both of the items to the commenter who makes me laugh out loud requesting that they should receive the freebies…
I will announce the winners on the August 10.2009 post on this very blog (remember I will have jet lag and loose a whole day coming home)
Let’s have some fun at this party… Away we go…

Hi Patricia. Have a fantastic trip!
I know what you mean about Jannie’s CD. Wedgie Wedding and Motorcycle Cop are two of my favourites… “Oh my God, you’re a raving beauty… Let’s go dancin when I get off duty” — makes me laugh every time.

Okay, now you’ve gone and done it Patricia… “Motorcycle cop I think I love you. Day and night I’m thinkin of you…” Just can’t get it out of my head now
Not that that’s a bad thing, mind you… right Jannie?

Bon Voyage! I’d give my own CD way to the homeless guy named Bob whom I met at an internet cafe.
Davina, did you know that’s my husband’s voice on the Motorcycle Cop? Yep!

These just might soothe my envious soul as you traipse across Scotland and I traipse through piles of dirty laundry!

Davina,
You are definitely in the running and I will hear “raving beauty…” all night long on the plane…They will think I am nuts laughing out loud so boldly on the plane!
Jannie,
A reveal of your co-stars…a very talented, remodeling man that husband of yours…
Mama Zen,
I just took my undies off the line and stuffed them into my back pack…because as my mama always said you just must travel with clean pants in case you are in an accident…

Tess,
Thank you – very clever. I am waiting for my ride and it is fun to be writing on blogs as it is calming me down – I think I am too excited this morning! I think at my age, I am truly learning how to enjoy every minute.
You are really out there in the traveling world.
Yes! I think the best is yet to come…the peak of creativity for women is age 65-70…hold on to your hat!
Oh yes! My kids gave me a “life is good” hat for walking UK
I will think of you every time I put it on…

Hi Patricia – I hope you’re having an awesome trip. I’m away in a few hours too but I’ll be back before you, so plenty time for me to think of something to win myself Jannie’s CD.

I’m so glad you’re taking your adventure of a life time. Some people dream, some people do, some people dream and do. It’s cool when dreams meet reality or you make dreams happen.

Sara,
I am just home from my trip and I discovered that the animal of Scotland was the Unicorn….at Blair Castle, which was a fun tour and at Eirth Castle I heard about the ghosts and discovered the new destination spa – a great massage!
Thanks for your comments – I hope I was not away too long.
Cath,
Loved the Lake’s District, attacking Sea Gulls at St. Ives, Kindle cake and gingerbread. Oh it is so beautiful and reminds me of home. Hope you had a great vacation too…
J.D.
This really was a dream and do – accomplished…also a great experience in enjoying my own flexibility. Thank you for your nice reflections on my adventure.
