Lightening Up the Mother Load

Wanting to laugh out loud this Mother’s Day, I put the word out to my folks and low and behold the rally cry was heard!

First I would add this comment to my daughter’s card. I gave up watching the News for a 40 day fast. It was one of the best things I did. So not wanting to return to that heavy duty addiction and emotional discombobulating mind set, I now just read the headlines on my reader and then research the story on my own if I need to know more. This is working great and so my kiddo made me laugh with hearty abandon with the following news post: CNNBC Video

I just knew I should read something about the Swine Flu so I went over to my reliable source The Deep Friar because he had posted about the Swine Flu.

I found that Friar’s Mum had posted this funny going around the Internet and I thought I would add it here:

It was once said that a black man would be president when pigs flew. Well, behold, 100 days into his presidency . . . swine flu.

And as if that were not enough my clergy friend told me about this You Tube video posting

Then Lance and Brandi teamed up for a Joy rebellion.

Well I hope that I have lightened the Mother Load and you are laughing out loud. If not head over to Jannie Funster’s blog and listen to her funny songs on her new CD!

Joy and laughter to you.

Got any good jokes to share? Or video Links? Let’s just keep the laughter up and running!

I collected a few more Champagne Stories for the blog – have you got one to share?

As you say, one can always find or create reasons to smile. Each person chooses what to focus on and what to disregard. Priorities are changing. How each person knows the self is also changing. Where it is leading is less important than how you feel.

    Hi Patricia,
I loved the Youtube video, and have passed it on to our pastors. And Jannie always makes me laugh – so just seeing her name here put a smile on my face!

A great way to start my day today – I have an extra bounce in my step, and that’s because of the smile I’ve gotten by stopping here this morning!

Patricia, this was hiliarious: “It was once said that a black man would be president when pigs flew. Well, behold, 100 days into his presidency . . . swine flu.” Thank you for the chuckle.

I haven’t watched the news for a few weeks now. I figure if there is something I need to know… it will find me. It does make a difference too. I feel way more positive when I’m “unplugged” from all that drama.

Just remember to stay away from Taco Bell and don’t “pig out” at buffets, like I suggested. :-)
