Jannie,
Love the carbs and the music and the flute and bass.
Jannie, I try to make Lent and Advent a spiritual experience time in my year, I spend more time on meditation and healing things than I do at other times of the year. I find I get more focus and clarity in my life.
Now that we are at Eastertide, I will emerge from reflection and self care - roll away the stones/rocks in my life and head and emerge - hopefully to bloom into the next season.
The torn muscle is finally healing - this is such a relief.
Always a delight to find you here.

Barb,
Thank you for dropping by and yes I am taking lots of magnesium and water - also milk thistle is helping a great deal.

Yesterday I tried on a Chinese Medical Intuitive's Therapy and I am nearly pain free this morning. It was fascinating to learn all these new - old things. I had so much energy rushing around in me last night I tried to write on someone's blog and only confused them and myself. I went for a run instead!

I do so like the little "hints" projected by those quizzes and they make good conversation starters.

"Definitely more people like me on my blog and my writing than in person," Such an interesting, honest and revealing statement, Patricia. I think we all get to be a little more of who we really want to be in our writings / blogs than in person, as we have time to formulate our thoughts. And keep the dust bunnies off our jpegs.

What kind of chord or musical sound/instrument are you?
How do others hear you?

Me, probably a mix of flute and bowed bass - sweetest highs and saddest lows. And I'm definitely a major 7th chord! A basic triad with a little je-ne-said-quoi thrown in to surprise people.

Are you on a pilgrimage or working a desert experience? How are you doing?

Me, I am "getting it done," thanks to people like you. That time you asked meon my blog, "How do you share your music," really jump-started me in way that I am forever grateful to you for. Yep!

I love to take tests... personality, IQ, whatever is offered. What I don't like is that the questions they ask require more than a scaled response, and there's no provision for actually answering them. So of course, the results aren't really accurate. They hint...

What I do like about them is how many colors and styles and sounds of validity there are. We're ALL valid! Whether fifths or fourths or sevenths -- it's all part of the symphony and only gets resolved in concert with others, toward the end.

Meanwhile, we all play our music and find the beauty in it.

I wish you well, would send you magnesium for your muscles, and lots of clear water to flush out the meds. No coffee for you! :)

Oh, Patricia...I am so proud to read about your accomplishments!

Keep the faith, as I know you do, to accomplish the rest! :~)

It reminds me of a quote that goes something like this:

"It's not the mountain ahead of you that keeps your from your journey...it's the sand in your shoe." (or something like that!)

Dot,
I was trying to loose the 40 pounds over the year August 2008- August 2009. On this new medication, I gained 18 pounds in 10 days. It is now coming off. The desert experience is a subtle, maybe too subtle, reference to the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert in prayer and temptation....Lenten experience.
I am glad you dropped by, You always help me to think with more clarity - I am appreciative.

Sorry to hear about your muscle cramps. A "desert experience"? Does not sound fun. I don't think I could ever give up carbs either. I'm guess you did lose weight, just not the huge amount, 40 lbs., you expected to lose in how long? Doesn't sound healthy to lose that much in less than 20 weeks.

Vered,
They even want me to give up all the fruit I eat...no way! I draw the line - whole organic fruit is good carbs.
