Hey Patricia,

It is me...the long lost friend coming to life with Spring.

Mmmm...we don't get snow but when we do I make sure we have Reese Cups on hand. For some reason a glass of milk with good chocolate come to mind. As a child we did get snow. I remember my mom would always serve us this. I am not sure why but the memories does still hold strong.

I am a cook of sorts on Sunday. I love to bake and this is a wonderful time to bring out the old recipes.

I hope all is well with you.

Hey, you need a good St Patty's Day ("ish" on the date,) storm to herald in a perfect spring and breath-taking summer. At least that's what we always say way up yonder here in the Canadian woods.

Of course I'm in the Austin woods now with temps topping out around 80 all this week - yuck! I'd rather the snow.

Well, from my faint memory of a snowy day I happened to be home for in 1998, I played my banjo on the window seat while my sister whipped up some brownies and other such gluten-full confections. Then we drank champagne all day and coffee all night. We played a lot of cards and repeatedly sang the "Whirl, whirl, twist and twirl, jump around like a flying squirrel" song we both hold so dear to this date. Do you know it? I think it was sung by that cartoon cat, oh what's his name? Sylvester!

(Tha tlast paragraph is based loosely on factual events which may or may not have, or ever will happen.)

:)

Singing fee-fie-fid-le-ee-eye-oh...

Chocolate! I just remembered I have some. yay!!!

Dot,
My partner works about 14 hours a day right now, exercises about 2 hours a day and eats and sleeps the other few available to him - I am in the kitchen, garden, everything alone most of the time right now...
A snow day was a lovely - like having company day.
I don't think that is too much WEst Coast talk...I think that is a planner talking...!!! A month of no pay and I have to know everything that is on hand and be creative.

I love to watch old movies or curl up with a book....doesn't happen to often when you are running the show alone!

Thank you for dropping by and I loved the Mad Lib break

"...potassium stock. Still about ½ of one freezer full of applesauce. There are still quite a few pounds of Gluten Free flour and 2 eggs." I love the way you west coast people talk! ;-)

That's the part of relationships that I miss. At least when I had my dogs, they'd be in the kitchen sniffing constantly and begging for what smelled good to them. But there's nothing like a human companion.

What I like to do on a housebound day is curl up under an afghan and watch old movies or read a good book. Cooking all day Sunday is my idea of punishment! Then again, my cooking skills have been lost because I haven't had to use them in years.
