Hey there! I was just tagged for the same thing so I will hold off on listing my 7! This is such a wonderful way to get to know other bloggers.

I love number 2. I am such a nature lover and birds are one of my favorite gifts of life that we have been blessed with. Each Spring I have such a hard time trying to rescue all of the little baby birds from the neighborhood cats.

I am wishing you a Happy New Year!

Betsy,
Glad you got a break and a safe trip home again home again.

Thank you for finding the meme and I think it is wonderful that folks are answering here on the site - more fun like a party of interesting folk all gathered.

I played the flute too for a short period of time, but could not afford the white bucks -

Sorry about the stinky train...don't some people just ruin it for you!

oh and I was told to do something about my wardrobe by a bishop when I was in New York City also...something about looking good in the city and to be taken seriously..

Did either of us improve our wardrobe?

Hi Patricia - I am back from a six hour white-knuckle drive home from the cabin, with a site backup and lots of work to do on PassingThru, which I have neglected for several days while we were gone! I wanted to respond though, and noticed others did in the comments, so am following suit.

#1 My favorite travel fantasy of all time is to travel on The Orient Express. My friend Mary has done this and told me it was stinky on the train. Dashed!

#2 I can't resist watching anything on TV that has to do with ghosts or hauntings. I love seeing video proof of the supernatural.

#3 I played the flute in high school marching band. We flutes and piccolos (for Sousa, don'tcha know) were generally in the first row, and our highly polished white buck shoes (like Pat Boone used to wear) were constantly threatened by the sheriff's posse horses who pooped ahead of us in the Memorial Day and 4th of July parades.

#4 Everyone generally looks to me to confront lousy customer service providers and communicate our displeasure and what they should do to remedy the situation. This is because I married into a family of passive aggressive conflict avoiders. Um, not that there's anything wrong with that ... :D

#5 I repainted the same room in our house 3 times in two years, and now it's presentable.

#6 Every so often I take a mental health day and watch cheesy daytime TV shows, and pretend I'm not feeling well.

#7 On my first buying trip to New York in 1976, my boss took me to the top of the Empire State Building so I could say I actually did something fun instead of work the entire time. He also suggested I invest in a decent wardrobe for same.

Thanks, Patricia! I liked everyone's answers!

I could not find out how much from the research I have completed so far of the vinegar, but I am using balsamic vinegar on my salad with low olive oil content...so about 3 TBS for a large salad.

My Aunt swore by vinegar and had a book about what to use for a headache, stomachache...etc.

My Naturopath says that Lemon juice will also do the same thing. I put about a 1/4 cup in a mug and fill it up with hot water and like it that way and in the summer I use it in cold water for a change of pace.

The 5 servings of grapefruit or oranges might be great for Champagne, but I do know it works well when you overindulge in carbohydrates and fats... I don't even have enough champagne to test that theory!!!

Hey again, broccoli and spinach gotta be good on a daily basis. How much vinegar a day?

And I'll really do that citrus fruit thing if I ever overindulge with champagne!

No problem Davina, I am not sure I will do another meme and I don't do those email ones any more either.
Loved reading your 7 here and finding out more about you and your activities...bear and moose = runaway horse...I am so glad you made it off safely, but I do know the feeling of the trees rushing by - scary
Now I know you have sister. And can spend days in the woods alone....I loved to play the piano but my hands would shake so badly when I tried to perform that was a disaster...singing was more fun.
Thank you for sharing

Hi Patricia. I enjoy watching birds too. I hadn't heard of Dyscalcula until now -- that was super of that examiner to help you out like that. I like hearing those kinds of stories.

I don't usually participate in memes. But I'll do this one. I don't plan on blogging about memes though so if it's ok with you I'll post my answers here.

1. I can’t swim and failed when I took lessons.

2. I’m a distant relative of Tom Jones, the singer… remember “What’s New Pussycat”?

3. I almost died in hospital with double pneumonia and measles, while waiting to celebrate my 5th birthday.

4. Around age twelve, I saw a bear and a moose on the same day while horseback riding. My horse spooked and I fought to stay in the saddle while she galloped along the gravel road. The passing trees were a blur. I fell off eventually and hitched a ride on my sister’s pony. I was so scared because I had a bear phobia and I was afraid the bear was following us.

5. I joined a native group in 1991 and went on a vision quest for 2.5 days. It was early June in the northern States. I was alone in a tent and wore nothing but a cotton wrap. I had no supplies, water or food, nor did I speak to anyone. Other members of the society were vision questing at the same time but were not in sight. It was a fantastic experience.

6. I took jazz lessons in public school and performed on stage in front of a live audience. Loved it!

7. I took piano lessons also in public school and performed live at a recital. I hated it!
