Excellent and funny speech and she used the above quote to get her through the "painful" parts of the experience - emotional and physical. I took away from her speech - "You are not a hand, a mind or a breast. You are you and this is just a part of your living and being." She said she does not serve life by waiting for it to happen again. Rather she serves her life by finding her joy in living every minute of it. Marianne Williamson takes this truth a step further when she emphasizes that fear can become a barrier to what lies within us. We use it as some kind of justification for limiting ourselves...as a way to rationalize no action. At the moment, I'm making these words of John Wooden's my own ...
