He was honored at the summit along with the Dalai Lama and there were numerous Nobel Laureates on hand to talk about peace and compassion. I think that people like Desmond Tutu can inspire others to care more, do better, and empathize with others. Regardless of what anyone's religious beliefs may be (if they practice organized religion at all), I think individuals like Desmond Tutu can inspire words and actions that promote peace.
